Established in 2005 under the umbrella of the Islamic Center of Irving, Tanzeel Academy’s vision is to “Preserve the Qur’an in the hearts of future generations.”
Alhamdulillah, Tanzeel Academy has grown into one of the leading Qur’an memorization institutes in the nation. We currently serve:
- Over 90 boys and girls enrolled in our full-time Hifz program
- More than 40 students in our part-time Hifz program
- More than 250 students annually through our Nazirah program
In addition, Tanzeel Academy offers retention and Ijazah programs. Now in its 20th year of operation, Tanzeel has graduated over 260 Huffadh. Many of our graduates lead Taraweeh prayers in communities across the United States and have been recognized in national and international Qur’an competitions.

Position Summary
Tanzeel Academy is seeking a qualified and dedicated Full-Time Hifz Teacher to mentor and guide students in their Qur’an memorization journey while serving as a positive Islamic role model.
General Responsibilities
- Mentor, guide, and supervise Hifz students in both memorization and spiritual development
- Teach Tajweed and ensure students develop excellence in proper Qur’an recitation
- Conduct daily student evaluations and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Track attendance and provide regular updates to administration and parents
- Foster positive relationships with school administration, parents, students, and fellow instructors
- Teach and reinforce Islamic etiquette, manners, and character development
- Assist in developing and enhancing the curriculum for full-time and part-time Hifz programs
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Hafiz of the Qur’an
- Strong command of Tajweed and Qur’anic recitation
- Proven experience serving as a Hifz instructor in the United States
- Ijazah certification preferred
- Experience working with children ages 8 and older
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Strong Islamic character, professionalism, and organizational abilities
- Sound understanding of Islamic etiquette and student mentorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting Qur’an Nights or similar community programs
- Experience teaching Qira’ah
- Understanding of youth-related challenges and effective mentorship approaches
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
